LEVEL 01
Intern Engineer Starting Point
The entry point for all engineers entering the AD-EQP system. No examination is required at this stage. Engineers register on TAMM, declare their discipline and track, and begin accumulating PDUs. The goal is to build hands-on technical exposure before advancing to FE.
LEVEL 02
Practitioner Engineer Fundamentals of Engineering
Engineers must complete the required courses for their discipline and pass the FE Qualification Exam to advance. Pathway 1: 3 years experience + 30 PDUs.
Pathway 2: 2 years experience + 45 PDUs. FE validates foundational technical competency through formal examination.
Prerequisite to enroll: To advance your career, you must first complete all discipline-specific FE courses, accrue the necessary PDUs, and pass the FE Qualification Exam. Meeting these requirements is mandatory to unlock enrollment in PE-level programs.

Professional Engineer Independent Practice
Available only after achieving FE status. Engineers carry full professional responsibility and independent practice authority. Pathway 1: 5 years post-FE + 150 PDUs.
Pathway 2: 4 years post-FE + 210 PDUs. PE courses are prerequisites for the PE Qualification Exams.
Prerequisite to enroll: An active FE status is a mandatory requirement. Additionally, completing all PE-level courses listed below is a prerequisite for taking the corresponding PE Qualification Exams.

Expert Engineer Reach the Pinnacle of Your Profession
The Expert Engineer designation represents the highest level of technical authority within the Abu Dhabi engineering landscape. In this role, you will lead technical direction, mentor the next generation of engineers, and actively shape industry standards across the Emirate.Pathway 1: 7 years post-PE experience + 210 PDUs.
Pathway 2: 6 years post-PE experience + 270 PDUs.
